Ground Floor Plan
This mixed-use scheme reimagined a large, underused space between 36 homes as a shared community asset, combining eco‑housing, allotments, and a multi‑use greenspace. The brief required a design that delivered environmental value, social benefit, and long‑term stewardship. Historical, local and community research led to early masterplans that explored how movement, planting, and built form could work together to create a welcoming, inclusive scheme. Sustainable design principles informed the layout, with attention to biodiversity, green infrastructure, and low‑impact construction. Extensive community engagement, through meetings, presentations and open discussions, shaped the scheme, ensuring local priorities directly influenced the proposals.
